Introduction:

BAE Systems has received a $149.8 million firm-fixed-price contract from the U.S. Navy to carry out maintenance and modernisation work on the USS Boxer (LHD 4). The contract value could increase to $180 million if all options are exercised.

Features:

The Selected Restricted Availability (SRA) contract covers critical maintenance, repairs and modernisation work on the USS Boxer. The work will be carried out at Naval Base San Diego.

The maintenance programme will support the U.S. Navy’s operational readiness, with BAE Systems’ team providing ship repair and modernisation capabilities to meet the Navy’s requirements.
