Perspecta Inc., a leading U.S. government services provider, announced today that Vencore, a Perspecta company, has been awarded a U.S Army Materiel Systems Analysis Activity (AMSAA) Sample Data Collection and Analysis (SDC&A) follow-on contract. The five-year contract has a value of $96 million and work will be performed at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland and other key Army locations in the United States and abroad.

Under the contract, Vencore will continue to provide data collection and review services on selected models of U.S. Army aviation and ground combat systems, tactical wheeled vehicles and ground support equipment. Additionally, the company will assist AMSAA in performing health usage monitoring and operational sustainment analysis support functions. Vencore will continue to bring a mix of mission and platform knowledge, technology and innovation to enhance AMSAA's critical SDC&A mission.

The SDC&A program provides the Army with materiel analyses to detect systemic materiel issues and develop actionable recommendations to the Army's program managers, the Army Materiel Command and to operational forces. SDC&A work directly influences improvements to engineering design, reliability, maintainability, quality, safety and training, and plays a critical role in the Army's sustainment and readiness efforts.

"This win is a true testament of our credibility and success supporting AMSAA," said Mac Curtis, president and CEO, Perspecta. "We are honored to continue to provide critical services in the areas of data collection, big data, Internet of Things, data analytics and predictive analysis in support of the Army's focus on improving readiness."
