Ground Support

Broens has undertaken defence projects for land, sea and air applications, as well as providing manufacturing services to a large number of defence multinational prime contractors. Broens produced aircraft service support equipment such as fuel tank trolleys and helicopter engine handling equipment.

Broens' subsidiary, Static Engineering, design and manufacture cargo loading vehicles, known as "TALU" and "TASLU", since 1970 for military transport aircraft including C130 and C17. In addition to being the only loaders used by the Royal Australian Air Force for that purpose, they are used by numerous defence forces through-out the world including North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Static Engineering produces other ground support equipment and various converted container modules.
