Session 2: Grey Zone Tactics in the Taiwan Strait
Panelists will discuss the ongoing Grey Zone situation in the Taiwan Strait, focusing not only on the PLA’s incursions into Taiwan's ADIZ but also on various political, economic, and information operations targeting Taiwan.
Session 3: Resourcing Taiwan’s Defense Efforts
This session will analyze existing and potential mechanisms to appropriately resource Taiwan’s deterrence and defense initiatives, with input from both U.S. and Taiwanese perspectives.
Session 4: Preparing for Coercive Measures
Building on the Grey Zone discussion, this session will examine how Taiwan might respond to alternative coercive actions such as a quarantine or blockade. It will also look at the role of U.S. industry in preparing for such scenarios.
Session 5: Impact of the 2024 U.S. Elections on U.S.-Taiwan Relations
The final session will consider how the results of the 2024 U.S. elections could influence the future of the U.S.-Taiwan relationship. Topics will include Foreign Military Sales (FMS), co-production, and addressing the delivery backlog of defense systems for Taiwan.
