Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) are remotely operated aircraft guidance systems that consist of an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAVs) - aircraft remotely controlled and communicated by humans or onboard computers - control systems, and communications.

UAVs are considered state-of-the-art technology due to its versatility of use, novelty and high-precision systems, and are used mostly in missions that are too dangerous for human beings or for terrains inaccessible.

Generally known as drones, these aircrafts originally were developed to carry out covert military operations and reconnaissance, but are now proving useful in agriculture, recreation, hobby sports, disaster management, and several other fields.

Several aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles manufacturers such as General Atomics, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Textron, and Boeing are leaders in producing UAVs for applications including target and decoy, combat, logistics, R&D, civil and commercial, and many others.

We soon will be up with a list of unmanned aerial vehicles suppliers.
