Introduction:

Raytheon, an RTX business, has been secured a $529 million contract to provide the Netherlands with a Patriot® air and missile defense system fire unit and associated equipment in Ukraine, Europe.

Patriot® is the world’s only combat-proven ground-based air and missile defense system capable of countering advanced long-range cruise missiles, tactical ballistic missiles, and a full spectrum of air-breathing threats.

As the foundation of air defense for 19 countries, the system continues to demonstrate its effectiveness against sophisticated aerial threats and large-scale complex attacks.

"The Netherlands' investment in the Patriot system strengthens collective security and deterrence across Europe."

The $529 million direct commercial sales contract includes a single Patriot fire unit, comprising a radar, launchers, command and control stations, and additional support equipment. Work on this contract will primarily take place in Andover, Massachusetts, and Huntsville, Alabama.
