NCI, Inc. (NASDAQ:NCIT), a leading provider of information technology (IT) and professional services and solutions to U.S. Federal Government agencies, announced today that it was part of a team awarded a multiple-year contract for the U.S. Air Force Material Command in the second quarter of 2013. Partnering with KIHO Military Acquisition Consulting, Inc., NCI will support all weapons systems managed at Hill Air Logistics Complex, Tinker Air Logistics Complex, and Robbins Air Logistics Complex. This award includes logistics and engineering support services for reducing diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages (DMSMS) by proactively analyzing weapons systems, subsystems, components, and materials for availability and suitability. The team’s support will enhance the supply chain management system and proactively improve logistics support, maintenance, and system sustainability while reducing the cost of ownership of weapons systems managed by the Air Force. This effort supports various organizations, including Common Avionics and Special Operations Forces, as well as numerous weapons systems; Space and Command, Control, Communication, and Intelligence (C3I) systems; several Air Force aircraft; electronic warfare; automated test equipment; and various vehicles and missiles. “This award expands NCI’s award-winning Department of Defense DMSMS processes and solutions across major weapon platforms to reduce costs while minimizing depot-level turnaround/repairs and improving weapons system readiness and reliability for our warfighters,” said Brian Clark, NCI’s president.
