CACI International Inc (NYSE:CAI) said that it has been awarded a $38 million prime contract to provide program management and technical engineering services support to the U.S. Army's Distributed Common Ground System-Army program. The company received the three-year award under its strategic services sourcing contract with the Army. CACI said that the DCGS-A contract is new work for the company. The DCGS-A integrates intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance data within a single system in an effort to streamline the Army's ability to process and disseminate this data to commanders in the field. Under the award, CACI's DCGS-A team will develop and integrate software, and provide lifecycle management. Arlington, Virginia-based CACI International provides professional services and IT solutions to defense, intelligence, homeland security, and federal civilian government markets. The company has around 12,300 employees working in over 120 offices in the U.S. and Europe.
