Introduction:

Boeing has secured multiyear contracts worth around $2.7 billion to manufacture additional Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) missile seekers.

Features:

The company is collaborating with Lockheed Martin, the main contractor, and the U.S. Army to expand production and meet new targets for the PAC-3 interceptor. Increasing seeker output is vital to maintain the Patriot system’s ability to defend military forces, civilians, and essential infrastructure worldwide as global threats continue to grow.

In 2025, Boeing achieved new records in both monthly and annual production and aims to deliver between 650 and 700 seekers by the end of the year. Continuous investment, production line upgrades, stronger supplier partnerships, and the completion of a new 35,000-square-foot expansion have significantly enhanced the company’s manufacturing capacity.

Operating from its Huntsville, Alabama, facilities, Boeing has supplied over 6,000 advanced PAC-3 seekers to the U.S. Army as a subcontractor to Lockheed Martin. The PAC-3 interceptor system is used by 17 countries, including the United States, to safeguard people and vital infrastructure across the world.
