Smiths Detection deploys multi-site centralized image processing solution for DHL Australia

Smiths Detection, the global leader in threat detection and security screening technology, announced today that it has deployed a A multi-site centralized image processing and management solution is now fully operational.

The solution connects existing Smiths Detection HI-SCAN 10080 EDX-2is high-speed automatic explosive detection scanners located at sites in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane into an intelligent network, allowing customers to analyze all x-rays in a single central location images, and obtain comprehensive data analysis and monitoring. The smart centralized screening solution will enable DHL Australia to optimize staffing, significantly increasing screener utilization while reducing overall operating expenses.

The technology complies with US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and Australian regulations and will be used in international air cargo for safe and efficient inspection.
