In partnership with the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Cubic successfully completed the Secure LVC Advanced Training Environment (SLATE) Advanced Technology Demonstration (ATD), demonstrating cutting-edge live, virtual and constructive (LVC) technology for fighter aircraft. As the industry systems integrator, Cubic developed enabling technologies and demonstrated the efficacy of blending virtual and constructive entities into live aircraft cockpits during large force exercise events at Nellis Air Force Base.

"We are honored to be recognized by NTSA for our advancements in LVC technology," said Mike Knowles, president of Cubic Global Defense. "Cubic's LVC is backed by decades of work with aviators from every service. Our innovative capabilities enable warfighters to truly 'train as they fight' by enhancing the live training environment, making it more realistic, readily available and cost-efficient."

"We are very proud to have supported AFRL and NAVAIR on the SLATE program," said Robert Pescatore, program director for air ranges, Cubic Global Defense. "The SLATE-ATD was a bold project that proved the technological feasibility as well as assessed the operability and producibility of LVC subsystems. The Department of Defense and its coalition partners can now securely train and measure combat readiness in a way that has never been possible before."

AFRL, NAVAIR and industry partners including Cubic will discuss the outcomes of the SLATE-ATD at the following focus event, taking place during I/ITSEC:
