Science Applications International Corp. has announced a significant Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to enhance the utilization of SAIC's secure cloud solutions within AWS GovCloud for government customers.

Nazzic Keene, CEO of SAIC, stated that this collaboration builds upon the existing strong relationship with AWS and brings additional resources that will be utilized to expand their team dedicated to creating state-of-the-art secure cloud migration and Edge capabilities. These capabilities are designed to align with the specific mission requirements of government customers. Keene emphasized that secure cloud solutions are pivotal for SAIC's growth, and this partnership empowers government clients to modernize through emerging technologies for improved mission outcomes.

This collaboration further solidifies SAIC's ability to develop customized secure cloud solutions tailored to the unique demands of government entities. It expedites the migration of specialized workloads into AWS environments to support agency modernization endeavors.

Dave Levy, Vice President of US Federal, Worldwide Public Sector at AWS, highlighted the shared commitment between AWS and SAIC to provide government customers with solutions that cater to sensitive workloads, both locally and at the edge. Through their multi-year partnership, AWS and SAIC will jointly develop purpose-built solutions that fast-track government agencies' modernization efforts on the AWS platform while enhancing decision-making processes.

Adelaide O’Brien, Research Vice President at IDC Government Insights, remarked on the positive implications of the AWS-SAIC agreement for government agencies. She noted that the collaboration between these two industry leaders will expedite the creation of secure cloud innovations, leading to improved agency outcomes and real-time decision-making capabilities. Additionally, this partnership addresses challenges that have hindered progress in critical cloud adoption for government.

The collaboration leverages cutting-edge CloudScend migration tools, which aid government agencies in swiftly migrating applications to the cloud and capitalizing on its efficiencies. The collaboration's core solution domains—Explore, Transform, and Operate—are geared towards helping government clients achieve operational efficiencies, lower costs, and reduced security risks. This partnership also accelerates the implementation of SAIC's recently introduced Zero Trust Accelerator (ZTA), which enhances government missions by delivering cloud capabilities to environments with limited connectivity through innovative Edge capabilities.
