25 August 2023

PAR Technology Corporation has made a significant announcement today, revealing that its wholly owned subsidiary, PAR Government Systems Corporation, has entered into a prime contract award in collaboration with ICEYE US, a leading provider of space-based radar capabilities. This joint effort secures a role in the Proliferated Low Earth Orbit (PLEO) Satellite-Based Services initiative, a U.S. Space Force-led endeavor. The contract aims to provide satellite-based services and capabilities across different domains (space, air, land, maritime, cyber), ensuring high-quality, low-latency offerings.

Out of the 16 awardees on the PLEO Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) effort, PAR Government has successfully secured its place. The contract spans five years and carries a $900 million ceiling, with additional five-year option periods.

The orchestration of the ID/IQ effort falls under the purview of Space Systems Command and has been facilitated by the Commercial Satellite Communications Office (CSCO). The initiative is designed to lend support to U.S. Combatant Commands, defense agencies, federal government entities, and international coalition partners.

Michael Nelson, President of PAR Government, emphasized the organization's commitment to enhancing the operational effectiveness of the military and allied forces. Nelson noted that PAR Government's collaboration with ICEYE US, a distinguished partner offering Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) constellation capabilities, showcases their dedication to delivering essential services and information through the PLEO effort.

Rome Research Corporation (RRC), a subsidiary of PAR Government, is also part of the contract award. RRC, in partnership with the Department of Defense (DOD), has a history of providing satellite communications and space-related operations and maintenance services. This includes terrestrial communication systems support, IT-related assistance, telecommunications engineering, installation services, and ensuring the operational functionality of government satellite assets.

Eric Jensen, CEO at ICEYE US, expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to collaborate on delivering near-real-time persistent monitoring services to decision-makers across the DOD. ICEYE US's advanced constellation of small synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellites, coupled with sophisticated processing techniques, allows for reliable insights day and night, regardless of cloud cover. Together, PAR Government and ICEYE US are committed to pushing the boundaries of commercial sector integration to benefit the United States Space Force and its mission.

In essence, this collaboration stands as a testament to the ongoing efforts of both entities to elevate the standards of satellite-based services and contribute to the United States' defense capabilities.
