GM Defense LLC, a subsidiary of General Motors (GM), and Anduril Industries, Inc. have jointly unveiled a strategic collaboration agreement to pave the way for cooperative efforts in defense program acquisition initiatives. The primary focus of this partnership centers on the delivery of cutting-edge solutions in autonomy, battery electrification, and emerging propulsion technologies, as well as the integration of a comprehensive array of Anduril technologies into GM Defense's mobility solutions.

This announcement coincides with the Association of the U.S. Army trade show taking place in Washington, D.C., where both entities are presenting variations of the well-established and field-tested Infantry Squad Vehicle (ISV). GM Defense's booth, located at 661 in hall A, will feature a four-seat Multi-Mission and Logistics ISV, outfitted with Anduril's loitering munitions. Meanwhile, at booth 4315, Anduril is showcasing GM Defense's nine-Soldier ISV, which is currently deployed to the U.S. Army's 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions, alongside Lattice, Anduril's sensor, network, and system-agnostic open software platform designed for land systems command and control.

Steve duMont, President of GM Defense, commented, "GM Defense shares a strategic vision with Anduril, as both organizations are committed to introducing disruptive, state-of-the-art technologies to the defense and government sectors, aiming to provide innovative solutions to our clients. We believe that this partnership is exceptionally potent, and together, we can present a compelling proposition for critical U.S. defense initiatives, while also exploring opportunities on a global scale."

Leveraging its expertise in ground vehicle autonomy, sensing technology, vehicle safety systems, and connected vehicle fleet analytics, GM Defense formulates solutions rooted in the advanced technologies available from its parent company, General Motors. These solutions work towards enhancing the capabilities of warfighters by incorporating some of the most sophisticated commercial-market technologies.

Anduril is a renowned provider of advanced defense technologies, artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, and comprehensive defense solutions. Brian Schimpf, CEO of Anduril Industries, expressed enthusiasm about this collaboration, stating, "We are excited to partner with GM Defense to develop new capabilities for land systems. Advanced software for mission-level autonomy has the potential to revolutionize ground systems, and GM Defense will play a pivotal role in delivering next-generation land systems to warfighters across the globe."
