CAE and Textron Aviation Defense sign MOU to expand collaboration and enhance next-generation training

Today, during the Defence and Security Equipment International conference, CAE has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in partnership with Textron Aviation Defense LLC, marking an expansion of their collaborative efforts to bolster defense force preparedness, integrate cutting-edge aircraft, and cultivate advanced capabilities. The alliance between CAE and Textron Aviation Defense directly addresses the pressing demand for military-focused flight training services that harness emerging technology and innovative teaching methodologies to enhance the next-generation T-6 training ecosystem.
Marc-Olivier Sabourin, Vice President of CAE Defense & Security, International, underscored the significance of industry collaboration, stating, "Effective industry collaboration is critical to advance training and simulation that will enable agile and efficient customer-driven solutions." Sabourin added that CAE is deeply committed to innovation and data analytics required to propel digital technology and integration forward. The combined expertise of Textron Aviation Defense and CAE is poised to confront the training challenges currently affecting air forces worldwide, including issues such as pilot shortages, a deficit of instructor pilots, and escalating aircraft operation and maintenance expenses. The application of emerging technologies and adaptive teaching approaches aims to address critical concerns such as cost-effectiveness, increased student throughput, student-centric learning, and the workload of instructors.
