airforce / data recording transmission storage systems

Air Force data recordings are the core component of post-mission analyses. They are used for storing all data regarding the mission including environmental factors, mission logs, and aircraft data such as distance, speed, time, thrust, etc. They are also used for tracking or recording enemy movement.

Some of the recording systems include high-speed cameras, streaming cameras, night vision and thermal imaging cameras, solid state recorders, etc.

Transmission and storage systems along with recordings form part of the Data Acquisition System. The most important device for transmission and storage is the Black Box.

Embedded USBs, IDE drives, Sata drives, etc. also form part of the system.
