U.S. State Dept approves possible sale of missiles to South Korea

The U.S. State Department has approved the possible sale to South Korea of Sidewinder missiles costing $70 million and Maverick missiles costing $70 million, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said in a statement on Wednesday.

It said Raytheon Co is the principal contractor for both missile systems.
