Objective Corporation And IBM Unite To Secure $10 Million Aussie Defence Deal

16 May 2016

ASX-listed Objective Corporation (ASX:OCL) along with IBM has nabbed a new contract to provide a key component with the Australian Department of Defence’s End User Compute (EUC) Program, worth more than $10 million.

Terms of the deal will see Objective design, build, test and deploy the latest version of its enterprise content management solution (ECM) to support all of Defence’s 75,000 users on the Protected network.

IBM’s broader contract involves the deployment of new versions of Objective ECM, Microsoft Exchange, Lync and Lotus Notes for deployment on Defence’s new thin client desktop environment, which is delivered as part of the EUC.

Objective Corporation CEO, Tony Walls, said it was a "substantial contract" for the company and a "significant milestone" in its 15-year relationship with Defence.

The EUC program is one of several initiatives aimed to establish a dependable, secure and integrated Single Information Environment (SIE) that will support Defence’s business and military operations.
