DCS Wins Task Order to Provide Ground Vehicle Survivability and Protection Support for Army Ground Vehicles

19 September 2018

DCS Corporation has been awarded a five year prime task order to provide technical and programmatic support to the U.S. Army Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) Ground Vehicle Survivability and Protection (GVSP) directorate. DCS will provide research and development, design, prototyping, testing, and integration support for vehicle systems, subsystems, and technologies.

GVSP is responsible for ground vehicle ballistic protection, blast mitigating technologies, and hit and kill avoidance initiatives for the Department of Defense. DCS efforts under this task order will focus on designing, developing, maturing, integrating, and demonstrating solutions in these critical areas.

"DCS looks forward expanding its long-term relationship with TARDEC and GVSP with this important win," commented CEO Jim Benbow. "We are excited for the opportunity to continue working side by side with our customer to develop and optimize technologies critical to ground vehicle survivability and Warfighter safety."

This award consolidates several contracts into a single task order under the Tank-automotive and Armaments Command Strategic Services Solutions (TS3) Research and Development contract. Project locations will include GVSP Project Management offices at the Detroit Arsenal and Selfridge Air National Guard Base.
