New Campaign Highlights Careers Offered by the US Army Reserve
21 April 2023
The US Army announced a new advertising campaign focused exclusively on opportunities for youth to advance their professional and personal goals in the US Army Reserve. "It's Your Time" ("It's your moment"), seeks to inform young people of all origins in the country who have the motivation and professional vocation about the option of serving part-time. This presents what the civilian and military lifestyle of Army Reserve Soldiers is like. The launch of the campaign coincides with the 115th anniversary of the Army Reserve and complements the Army's determination to emphasize the capabilities available to it in service.
"Research shows us that young people know little about the Army Reserve as a service option and those who do know it may not realize its importance to the force," said Maj. Gen. Alex Fink , director of the Army Enterprise Marketing. "It's Your Time" was created to increase awareness of the capabilities offered by the Amy Reserve that not only contribute to Army readiness, but help Soldiers advance their careers both in the Army and around the world. civil".
The Army Reserve is distinguished from other forms of service—Active Duty and Army National Guard—because it allows Soldiers to advance their civilian career or further study while serving the country part-time. The new campaign showcases the real-life possibilities Army Reserve Soldiers have to hone their skills with the added benefits of training, education and flexibility.
The campaign is centered around four promotional videos that show the experiences that Soldiers live in the Army Reserves and in the civilian world, visually showing how the combination of experiences allows them to develop their full potential. Each video is ranked by its strengths—helping, fixing, fixing, connecting—that match the opportunities the Army Reserve offers today's youth. Each theme is represented by a specific career path to showcase the resources of the Army Reserve, the training it offers in practical skills, and the flexibility it provides in work and personal life.
"With this campaign, our intent is to showcase the faces and voices of the most demographically diverse component of the Army," said Gen. Jody Daniels , US Army Reserve Chief and Commanding General. "No matter your background, interests or abilities, the Army Reserve can help you achieve your full potential and be a part of something bigger than yourself."
"It's Your Time" will reach audiences across the country on Reddit, YouTube, Spotify, Pandora and Google, as well as through the GoArmy and GoArmy.com social media channels. This strategic combination of channels, formats and distribution methods will continue the Army's efforts to engage Generation Z.
The campaign's creative approach includes a new Army Reserve logo and matches the look of the Army's new branding, unveiled last month.
