Meeting UNHCR Mr. Gennata with the Association of Greek Companies Aerospace & Defense
Athens, October 09, 2014: The Deputy Minister of National Defense (ANTEHA) Ms. Fofi Gennimata today received the Bureau of National Defense at the Ministry of Defense Association of Hellenic Aerospace & Defense Companies (EHEA). At the meeting, which took place in a positive and constructive atmosphere, an extensive exchange took place views on important issues concerning the current and future situation prospects of the Greek defense industries and their exploitation their capabilities.
Ms UNHEET informed the Bureau of EULEX that it is in the process of completion the establishment of the National Defense Industrial Strategy in which they were adopted taking into account the proposals of the EULEX. He also assured the Ministry of National Defense is a helper in the need to enhance the export character of Greek defense industries with first step support from the Ministry of Defense their participation in international defense material exhibitions with a single national stand as well as by instituting funds for Research & Development of new defense products with export prospects.
The two sides agreed that they would continue their cooperation on the issues relate to domestic defense industries, always focusing on support of the National Defense and Economy.
