AM General, a leading provider of military-grade tactical vehicles and transport systems, attended the handover ceremony of three Bastion armored personnel carriers (APCs) for special police units to the Kosovo Ministry of Interior (MOI). The delivery further strengthens the long-standing partnership between AM General and Kosovo - the company has delivered almost 200 HUMVEE vehicles to the country over the past three years to support security efforts. The ceremony is also the first completed order to emerge from a partnership agreement with Arquus, a global manufacturer of military mobility solutions for security forces.

Developed by Arquus, the Bastion is a 12-tonne 4x4 personal transporter that combines tactical performance, robust capabilities, a spacious interior, high payload and simplified maintenance. It is equipped with an armored hull, which provides protection against ballistic threats, mines and improvised explosive devices. AM General recognized the strategic value that a Bastion vehicle can have in the region and sold it to the Kosovo MOI. Thanks to the strong relationships in the region that Arquus has built through the sale of its proven combat vehicles, the partnership with Arquus has provided AM General's global customers with access to an even wider range of defense products.

Bastion will strengthen Kosovo's Ministry of Defense's strategic protection initiatives and complement various high-quality, rugged HUMVEE® vehicles delivered over the past three years, including HUMVEE 2-CT ™ (M1152, 2-door truck), 4-CT ™ (M1165, 4-door truck) ) and 4-CT-Fastback (M1151). The vehicles have different levels of armor to support different military and police missions.
