Sub-Atlantic Wins New Contract

ROV manufacturer is celebrating after winning a six figure contract with the UK Ministry of Defence.

The lucrative deal will see Sub-Atlantic, part of Aberdeen headquartered Triton Group, supply the MoD with specialist subsea surveillance equipment.

The revolutionary Comanche Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) will be used to survey ship wrecks around the United Kingdom coastline to examine any potential dangers to shipping.

The contract win will only help to further establish Triton as the industry leader in the competitive subsea sector.

It also further highlights their commitment to producing new technology to help them best serve the needs of the industry.

Sub-Atlantic Managing Director  John Ferguson said:  “This contract win further cements our place as an industry leader and is testament to all of the hard work from our employees.

“Our Comanche ROV has been extremely successful in meeting industry demand and we’re pleased with the response we’ve had since we launched it.”

Sub-Atlantic has also established international links through their Comanche vehicle having provided a similar surveillance system to the Spanish Coastguard in 2008.

They’ve also supplied the Russian military, he US Navy and Australian navy with other subsea products demonstrating their global presence.
