HZS launches new training for Photographers and TV Crews

In its continuous effort to meet CBRN training needs, HZS proudly introduces a unique training course for professional Photographers and TV Crews.
In this fast evolving and dangerous environment, where reporters' safety and security are at stake as they work to fully accomplish their mission, ensuring these professionals' safety while reporting events to the general public is a key priority at HZS.
The new course on"Special Hazards: Protection Course for Photographers and TV-Crews" aims at familiarizing professional reporters with basic self- protection measures. Forthis training, HZS has developeda specialcurriculum to teach them how to work safely in potentially contaminated and hazardous areas.


Our course comprises theory and a practical training with harmless and inert chemicals, biological agents, and radioactive simulants.

Hotzone Solutions successfully presents its Middle East office during IDEX and obtains the support fromHis Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan


From the 20th to the 24th of February 2011- and for the first time-, Hotzone Solutions had a stand at the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
IDEX 2011 was organized by the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company, in association with the UAE Armed Forces GHQ, and was held under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
The main purpose of Hotzone Solutions venue was to introduce its Regional office: Hotzone Solutions Middle East (HZSME), and to further develop its network. With the signing of contracts with new companies and new ones with existing partners, the goal has been reached.


During IDEX, Hotzone Solutions management was pleased to see the great interest of many companies from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, in its Live Agent Training (LAT). The will to train Army, Police and Customs staffs with LAT has been expressed.


Many NBC defence equipment providers were present at IDEX and a substantial expressed great interest in HZS services. New contracts and agreements have already been signed with new partners, envisaging equipment lending and testing in a live environment.


The highlight of the conference for HZS was undoubtedly the visit of His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE armed force, to our stand. His Highness took some of his valuable time discussing HZS mission and objectives, and HZS management and its Middle East team were delighted to be able to give a personal presentation to His Highness who affirmed: "Hotzone Solutions' mission is positive for peace in the world". He then expressed his support to HZS and the will for its involvement in increasing CBRN capability in the UAE.


Finally, HZS' success at IDEX was also reported in an article published in a well-known daily newspaper in UAE, the Al-Ittihad, which will also certainly help increasing our visibility in the region.


Hotzone Solutions participation in IDEX 2011 proved to be very successful in terms of new contacts but it also allowed key regional players to get to know our Middle East office, and our unique services.


We would like to thank His Highness Sheik Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company and the UAE Armed Forces GHQ for the organization of the event.

OPCW renewed contract with Hotzone Solutionsfor the provision of NDE (Non Destructive Evaluation) training course toNDE specialists

Following the accomplishment of its first “in-house” NDE training course to OPCW inspectors back in December 2010, Hotzone Solutions just delivered a six weeks NDE training course to OPCW NDE specialist.


From 23 Mayto 1 July 2011, HZS consultants have delivered a NDE certified training course to OPCW inspectors, at OPCW offices.The purpose was to provide OPCW NDE specialists opportunity to practice and improve their technical skills and theoretical knowledge in use, with different NDE methods.

The methods used were:


  • » Radiography (X-RAY);
  • » Ultrasonic testing (UPE);
  • » Hydrogen concentration measurement (HCM).

The delivery of the course went well and the successful NDE specialists were certified in alignment with international standards.


This new cooperation with OPCW certainly reflects the high standard quality training Hotzone Solutions delivers


CBRN Awareness Seminar

Vienna Conference Center, Vienna, Austria 17thJune 2011

On the 17th of June 2011, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), in cooperation with Hotzone Solutions Group, organized a high-level one-day awareness seminar on Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) related incidents and threats.

The event took place at the Hofburg, in Vienna (Austria).


The objective of OSCE’s CBRN Awareness Seminar was to introduce participants to the topic of CBRN and to provide an overview of how to analyze and manage CBRN related threats and risks.


The lectures were given by representatives from Hotzone Solutions and their partners, Infraprotect GmbH and StörfallmanagemntStolar, as well as the Austrian NBC Defense School and a representative from the US embassy.


Topics were basic introduction to CBRN and their threat scenarios, including consequence management. The detail program can be found here: (LINK TO PROGRAMME).

More than 30 participants from different public, international and corporate organizations came to Vienna to attend this seminar.
