TAM AS is a well experienced company adept in designing and producing all types of mobile lightweight shelters, using an own-produced self-supporting glued sandwich system. The core competence of the company lies in production of high quality insulated lightweight military shelters that are strong and durable for rapid deployment all over the world. All products like the expandable lightweight shelters, communication shelters and military lightweight shelters are made in long lasting self-supporting sandwich panels designed and produced by TAM. Most of our shelter systems are designed as “stand alone” shelters but we also deliver special designed communication shelter for vehicles such as the HMMWV.

Lightweight Military Shelter
Since 1981 TAM AS has designed and produced high quality lightweight military shelters for rapid deployment worldwide. These lightweight military shelters meet relevant MIL.STD, STANAG and ISO-standards. Shielding according to MIL.STD 285 can be obtained.

Our sandwich is a very strong, lightweight, insulated, self-bearing building material that gives all the lightweight military shelters low Life Cycle Costs (LCC) and life time more than 20 years.

TAM AS produces different types of lightweight military shelters:

• Shelter for use on vehicle, such as HMMWV, BV-206, Geländerwagen etc.
• Small stand alone communication shelter
• ISO 10’ and 20’ lightweight military shelters, up to 3x expandable.
• Power Supply Shelter

Most lightweight military shelters are supplied with power distribution system, signal input/output panel, silently running diesel fuelled generators and HAVAC systems designed for operation in climatic zone A1-C1, according to STANAG 2895. The sound level inside the military lightweight shelter is probably the lowest at market.

HMMWV Shelter
TAM’s HMMWV shelters are designed to meet MIL-PRF-44408 and for operation in extremely hot climates. Equipped with silently running diesel fuelled generating set, environmental control units, power distribution system (230VAC and 24VDC) and signal input output panel.

The generating set in the HMMWV shelter is designed to meet extra high ambient temperatures and installed in tunnel on a roller bearing frame for easy maintenance.

TAM’s HMMWV shelters are produced in the company’s advanced lightweight, hard-skin sandwich system. As option the HMMWV shelter can obtain RFI shielding at 60 dB within the frequency range of 150 kHz to 10 GHz tested per MIL-STD-285.

Communication Shelter
TAM AS has a wide range of communication shelter to meet each demand. All communication shelters are designed for rapid deployment and all kinds of transport.

Most of our communication shelter systems are designed as “stand alone” shelters but we also deliver special designed communication shelter for used on HMMWV, BV-206, Geländerwagen etc. TAM’s communication shelter is normally delivered with power distribution system and signal input output panel, interfaces for communication equipment and antenna masts or interfaces for antennas. As option the communication shelter can obtain RFI shielding at 60 dB within the frequency range of 150 kHz to 10 GHz tested per MIL-STD-285.

Expandable Lightweight Shelter
TAM’s expandable lightweight shelters are designed to meet ISO 20’ and 10’ specifications with CSC safety approval. Automatic expansion and integrated hook lift are convenient options with the expandable lightweight shelters. TAM has expandable lightweight shelters with one or two expandable sides and some with one expandable cell at the rear which is used as entryway to the shelter. These expandable lightweight shelters with expandable side can be designed as one big room with floor space up to 35m2 or as individually cells. Most expandable lightweight shelters are supplied with super silent running diesel power generators and HAVAC systems for climatic zone A1-C1 according to STANAG 2895, power distribution system and signal input output Panel.

Power Supply shelters.
TAM AS has designed power Supply Shelters for power generators up to 2 x 30KVA. TAM has also delivered Unmanned Power Supply Shelter for use under extreme Arctic weather conditions. These shelters are designed for helicopter lifting and housing generators, battery charger, battery bank, remote controlling and monitoring equipment. Power Supply Shelter is built in high quality glued sandwich system giving excellent strength, low weight, good insulation and very low life cycles cost.

TAM AS has designed and produced shelters for housing Video Tele Conferencing equipment with following basic characteristics:

• Shielded and soundproof according to client specifications.
• Fulfill requirement for CSC approval according to ISO 1496 20ft. 1CC and GL-rules
• Designed for operation in climate zones C1-A1 according to STANAG 2895 and ready for operation world wide.
• Equipped with power and fibre network distribution inside VTC room and Input / output panel for power and Fibre network outside.
• Interfaces for VTC equipment according to clients specifications.
