Armoured Project Vehicles (APV), based in Europe, provides Armoured Vehicles to the UN peacekeeping forces and worldwide humanitarian organizations as well as Special Forces units and Diplomatic Missions. They specialize in producing Armoured Toyota Vehicles in NATO approved facilities. The VBR B6 Certified Armoured Vehicles have been developed keeping in focus the protective requirements of the UN and the bespoke requirements of military personnel. They are also utilized as command vehicles for diplomatic and VIP staff protection. Production on the Toyota platform ensures that the Armoured Vehicles are highly durable low field profile and have straightforward maintenance. APV also provides dedicated ex-military after sales personnel to advice with servicing, maintenance and driving training for the Armoured Vehicles. The VBR B6 Certified Armoured Vehicles are supplied in both petrol and diesel versions for both LHD and RHD configurations.

Armoured Vehicles

The Armoured Vehicles provided by APV are tailor-made to suit the client’s requirements. Key options, design changes and extra equipments can also be incorporated in the Armoured Vehicles as per the specific needs of the buyers. The Armoured Vehicles can also be fitted with Electronic Counter-Measure (ECM) equipment, tactical enhancements, HF, UHF, VHF and satellite communication equipment can also be added to the Armoured Toyota Vehicles. To improve the performance and enhance blast protection for occupants of the vehicles, blast shields, bulkheads, roof hatches and differential locks can also be fitted.

BRV 1999 B6 level

The BRV B6 certified Toyota Land Cruiser 200 and 76series have been evaluated for full vehicle B6 ballistics and blast test certification. The German government proving ground at IABG conducted 400 rounds testing on the protected unit to verify the protection envelope of the passenger cell. The testing also included protection to 2 x DM51 German Ordnance Grenade on the roof and under the vehicle in accordance with Federal German Criminal Department (BKA) requirements.  Protection to a 15kg TNT side blast in accordance with Federal German Criminal Department (BKA) requirements and protection against a DM31 German Ordnance Mine under the driver feet position in accordance with Federal German Criminal Department (BKA) requirements.

Critically the protocol tests the design and integration of the protective materials in a live firing scenario. With this being the only true test of the protection.
